Queer-owned condo cleaning in the Village, and why that matters
The name is not a joke and it is not a gimmick. It is a plain description: one person, queer, cleaning condos in the neighbourhood he is from. If you have ever tidied before the cleaner came, hidden a shelf, or wondered whether to explain a photo on the fridge, this page is for you.
What queer-owned actually changes
Nothing about the cleaning. The counters get the same product, the shower glass gets the same technique, the list gets the same walk-through at the end. What changes is everything around it. There is no explaining who lives here or who stayed over. Nothing on the nightstand or in the bathroom cabinet is a conversation. A home that had a good weekend is just a home that had a good weekend.
It also changes how privacy works. Photos of your home are taken only with permission, and only for your own visit record, never for marketing. Access notes, buzzer codes and the arrangement with your concierge live in the private booking and nowhere else. Church-Wellesley is where the route starts. The older towers along Isabella, Wellesley and Maitland have buzzer entry, small elevators and radiators that collect a grey dust every week. The newer glass buildings on Charles Street East have concierge desks and floor-to-ceiling windows whose inside faces are half the job. Both fit the two-hour Condo Clean; the difference is where the spare minutes go.
Because several homes on Charles Street can be cleaned on one day, a neighbour can book a 30-Minute Reset in the gap, and a fortnightly route slot is easy to hold. That is the building-days idea, and the Village is the first pocket.
High standards. Zero judgement.
The tagline on the homepage is the operating rule. A lived-in home is the normal case, not the awkward one. Nobody needs to pre-clean, apologise, or perform. If the bathroom is a crime scene, say so on the booking’s vibe screen and the block is chosen for the condition, not for your effort the night before.
The standard is written down: the scope is agreed before the visit, worked through room by room, and checked against the list before Alex leaves. If something on that list was missed, say so within 48 hours and it is put right, free.
How a first visit goes
- You describe the place in four screens: size, bathrooms, current vibe, what matters most, and how Alex gets in.
- Alex replies within a day with a written plan and a proposed time. Nothing is booked or charged yet.
- You approve the plan; a 25% deposit confirms the time.
- The visit happens, the list is checked, the balance is paid against the invoice afterwards.
- If it worked, the next one is every 2 weeks at the fortnightly price, same day, same time.
